1. Can I cancel a surcharge that I purchased at the Surcharge Terminal?

Yes. A surcharge that you activated with your Gaiyo card at the Surcharge Terminal can be canceled at the same terminal within 30 minutes. The amount will then be automatically refunded.

2. Can I cancel a surcharge that I purchased as an e-ticket via the Gaiyo App?

No. An e-ticket with a surcharge purchased via the Gaiyo App cannot be canceled or refunded once the purchase has been completed.

3. What if I decide not to make my trip after all?

• For a surcharge via the Surcharge Terminal: cancel within 30 minutes to get your money back.
• For an e-ticket with a surcharge: the ticket remains valid but cannot be canceled or changed.

In short: only surcharges loaded onto your card at the Surcharge Kiosk can be canceled within 30 minutes. E-tickets with surcharges via the Gaiyo App are final and cannot be canceled.
